Guards key win over East Ridge
1/13/2010

Top-ranked Men’s Basketball overcame an eight-point third quarter deficit with a 15-0 run and punctuated the effort with an 8-0 run in the fourth quarter to pull away from state-ranked East Ridge, 63-56.  DP (14-2, 6-0 in District 5) is the lone undefeated team in District 5 with two remaining district games, at Ocoee tomorrow night and home vs. South Lake January 26th.  Shane Larkin led the surge with 20 points, three rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals.  Pat Ryan played a phenomenal game, finishing with 16 points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals.  Damani Cade poured in 17 points , pulled down seven boards and added four steals and three assists.

Men’s JV Basketball diligently dug themselves out of an 8-0 first quarter deficit to pull within one point, down 38-37 after three quarters, and blew past East Ridge with a 10-0 run to start the fourth in a 53-47 victory.  DP (7-2) has won five straight games.  Zach Pindar was a man among boys in the paint, specifically in the fourth quarter, with four points, three rebounds and a block during the Panthers’ run.  They’ll go for their sixth straight victory at Ocoee tomorrow night.
