The final score may not have indicated as much but Women’s Basketball overcame a shaky first quarter before turning on the jets in a 56-18 victory over host Oak Ridge. The Panthers (23-0) found themselves tied at 2-2 (not a misprint) after the first quarter and came to life in the second half, outscoring the Pioneers, 39-11, for their 23rd consecutive victory. Lexi Brown led all scorers with 24 points and six steals, Sydnei McCaskill add 13 points, five assists and six steals and Brittany Marshall pulled down a game-high nine rebounds. DP will host Winter Springs tomorrow for Senior Night. JV Women’s Basketball improved to 8-4 with a 54-8 thrashing of Oak Ridge. Jodi Branz led the way with 22 points.
