Dr. Phillips Men’s Basketball played the spoiler on Jones’ senior night, breaking out to an 18-0 first quarter lead before cruising on to a 67-56 victory.  Shane Larkin scored 23 points to go with a game-high seven assists and six steals as the Panthers (19-5) clinched the undefeated Metro West Conference championship.  Kerby Lubin added 12 points, eight rebounds and four steals while Chris Thomas scored seven and pulled down eight boards.  DP will close out their regular season vs. Lakeland Kathleen in the Mosaic Shootout at Bartow HS tomorrow night at 9:00 PM.  Should the Panthers win, they will have secured their running state-record 17th consecutive 20-win season.
